some words about...

"Fire" - Józef Kuraś, coming from the highlander powerful family, was born in Waksmund. Between 1943 and 1947 he became a glorious and then a gloomy legend of Tatra Mountains. The legend of the "King of Highlands" is built on such a problems as: sufferring and personal revenge on Nazis, inconceivable impulse, stunning coexistence of evil and goodness, pathos and love for people of his and to the mountains, hatred to rivals, faithfulness to oneself and betrayal to oath sworn to the AK army, the career in the secret police and march to the Tatra Mountains to fight with comunistic goverment- suddenly hated by "Fire".

Victim

Wrongdoer

Wonder, censored, from the death in 1947 till today.

Nowadays the word "Fire" is held in contempt by the members of the AK army. Officers of the secret policy disdain the person, neighbours and relatives stay mute, subordinates tell the mith ended with one of the songs about "Fire".
He didn't have a funeral. The family couldn't get the body back
The Highland doesn't have him: And that's what it was all about

Only sometaims the old highlanders sing the tragic epitaph.
Meditation on the lonely and lost human, who left so many unanswered questions with his life.
Questions that are still difficult to be answered.
