In years 1976-1991 Grzegorz Królikiewicz carried on lectures: "Analysis of a film production" at Łód University and on staging faculty in Stage Theatrical Film Collage.
They took place every Tuesday at 3.00 p.m. On the beginning there was a film projection. Sometimes there was a short lecture before. It was nearly the routine that the analysis took more than one lesson and then the projection of the film had been repeated on every meeting. After the projection all those who were interested, went to the biggest assembley room in the school. There waited for them prints from the film.
Grzegorz Królikiewicz led the lectures. Sometimes the discussion was carried on lately at night. Alicja Wierzbicka recorded it and she rewrote it from the tape. Grzegorz Królikiewicz elaborated script with written lectures and students were given them. In the years of luxury students had all the gathered lectures on their own. Books mentioned below aren't minutes, but they only result from these meetings.
Knowledge gaining from these lectures and discussions was treated like a discovery. The tape was moving on the table and awarnesses were cutting across the air. Sentences and references were quoting. It would be a nonsense to annotate them now, because the aim of these lectures was to set the journey going not to reach library home truths. Some parts of material are really detailed, because that was the need of participants and teacher; another ones are shortened because they resulted from themselves. During drawing up, this disproportionatelity wasn't leveled.
The words were sharply beating the ignorance wall.
The atmosphere on the lessons was really hot. Current events (for example: attempt on Pope's life) influence on them and have been recorded in written form (although the readers are maybe not accustomed). Nothing as been done to soften the fact that these books are result of meetings: living people and living film.
